Including electrical engineering and control system technology AEROVIDE offers an optimized full service package which ensures the smooth interaction between all components of the wind turbine; interface problems caused by unclear responsibilities are avoided from the very beginning. The single- source- approach for mechanical and electrical design reduces project risks significantly and permits much shorter project schedules.
The electrical engineering comprises the specification of the pitch system, generator, power converter, transformer, switch gear and, if required, auxiliary components as uninterruptable power supply units. With the full background of the turbine design the requirements are carefully considered in close coordination with the component suppliers.
A complete electrical system circuit diagram is prepared and provided by AEROVIDE after coordination of the component’s interfaces. This diagram includes the layout of the electrical cabinets and is optimized to the specific turbine variant.
AEROVIDE performs the protection function description and performance level evaluation as requested by DNV-GL / IEC61400 guideline to ensure that the electrical system fulfils the latest safety requirement level though the complete design process.
Customers gain full flexibility to manufacture the switch cabinets themselves based on the circuit diagram, manuals and further documentation provided by AEROVIDE as part of the package. Alternatively the cabinets, either for prototype only or for full serial production, can be manufactured by external suppliers in which case AEROVIDE will take over initial technical clarifications.
